Unit 2语篇:

Healthy Food and Drink for Children

Is your food and drink healthy? A lot of ice cream, hamburgers and cola is not healthy. Meat is healthy but too much meat is not good for children. Cola and candy are very sweet, and too much sugar is bad for you.

Eat the right food and be healthy. Carrots, eggs and sweet potatoes are good for your eyes. Milk, cheese and fish are good for your teeth. A bit tired? Have lots of delicious chicken soup!

It is important to remember: eat well, stay healthy, and don't get fat!

·Eat noodles or rice, not hamburgers.

·Have a good breakfast every morning.

·Drink juice, water, tea and milk, not cola.

·Eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

外研版《英语》七年级下册 Module 8 Story Time

Unit 1语篇:

Tony: All alone in the dark, dark forest, Goldilocks picked some flowers.

Daming: Oh, did she often go for a walk in the forest alone?

Tony: No, she didn't. And soon she was lost. Goldilocks looked around her. “Where am I?” she asked. Then she noticed a little house, so she hurried towards it, and knocked on the door. Nobody answered, so she knocked again, and again. Finally, she pushed the door. It was open. There was nobody there.

Daming: Oh! Didn't anyone live in the house?

Tony: Just wait a moment, Daming! Goldilocks entered the house and looked into a small room. On a table there were three bowls with some nice food in them. One bowl was small, one was big and one was very big. Goldilocks was very hungry. She picked up the very big bowl but she didn't like it — it was very hot. Then she picked up the big bowl, but she didn't like it — it was cold. The little bowl was just right. She finished all the food in it.

Unit 2语篇:

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Goldilocks wanted to sit down because she was tired. First, she tried the big chair, but it wasn't very comfortable. Then she tried the middle chair. It was not comfortable either. Finally, she tried the small chair. It was nice and comfortable, but Goldilocks was very heavy and soon the chair was in pieces.

She walked into the bedroom. There were three beds. She didn't like the middle bed or the big bed. The small bed was very comfortable. Very soon she was asleep in it.

The Three Bears returned. They looked at the bowls and the chairs. Baby Bear cried, “There's nothing in my bowl and my chair is in pieces!”  He wasn't very happy!

Next, the Bears looked in their bedroom. They didn't notice Goldilocks at first. Then Baby Bear pointed at the little girl in his bed and shouted. “Look! There's the bad girl!”

Goldilocks opened her eyes. The Three Bears were all around her, so Goldilocks jumped out of bed and hurried out of the house without her basket. She didn't go for a walk in the forest again.

外研版《英语》 八年级下册Module 6 Hobbies

David's Hobbies

Many students have hobbies, such as reading, painting, growing vegetables and looking after animals. Some hobbies are relaxing and others are active. Hobbies can make you grow as a person, develop your interests and help you learn new skills.

David Smith is a student, and one of his hobbies is writing. During the summer of 2010, he spent four weeks at a summer camp. As well as the usual activities, such as sailing and climbing, there was a writing class. “The teacher was a writer, and she asked us to talk about our lives and tell interesting stories. Then she encouraged us to write about our experiences at the camp.”

Back at school, David wrote a story about the life of a sixteen-year-old boy, and it came out as a book in 2012. Many young people love his book, and as a result, David has become a successful young writer.

David has been very lucky because his hobby has brought him pleasure and success. But writing is not his only hobby. He is also interested in many other things, “I like playing volleyball too,” says David. “I spend some of my free time playing volleyball for my school team. Maybe I'll write about my volleyball team in my future books.”

外研版《英语》八年级下册Module 9 Friendship

Unit 1语篇:

Helpline: Hello, Friendship Helpline. Who's calling, please?

Lingling: Hello. This is Lingling speaking.

Helpline: Hi, Lingling! How can I help you?

Lingling: I have a problem with my best friend. She's called ...

Helpline: No, don't tell me who she is. Tell me when the problem started.

Lingling: Yes. Well, we've been friends for five years. We got separated when we went to different schools last term, but we stayed in touch.

Helpline: So could you explain what happened then?

Lingling: This term, she came to study at my school. I was so happy at first. But she's so different.

Helpline: Can you tell me how she's different?

Lingling: She doesn't like me to see my other friends.

Helpline: Could I ask if you've mentioned this to her?

Lingling: Yes, but she refused to listen.

Helpline: OK. Do you know why she treats you like that?

Lingling: No. I don't know.

Helpline: Maybe she doesn't feel very sure of herself in her new school.

Lingling: Maybe.

Helpline: Try to find out whether she feels lonely without you. I'm sure she regrets hurting you. So be patient with her and explain to her that she can make friends with your other friends too. Try to introduce her to them.

Lingling: I see. I'll encourage her to join in more. Thanks.

Helpline: No problem, Lingling. You're welcome!

外研版《英语》九年级上册Module 6 Problems

Unit 2 语篇:

Dear Diana,

Last week, my friend David came round with a new computer game and asked to play it on my dad's computer. I was worried, because I should ask my dad before I use his computer. He uses it for his work, and I can only use it for my homework. The reason is that he thinks something will go wrong if I play games on it.

Well, while my dad was out, we decided to try out David's game. We copied it to the computer, and after we finished playing, we took it off the computer. However, when I started the computer again to check if everything was OK, some of my dad's documents were missing. Then, when my dad used the computer last night, he was really angry. He could no longer find the documents anywhere! They were very important.

I did not tell him about the computer game because I did not want him to be angry with me. Now I feel terrible. I am not sure whether a computer repair shop can get the documents back. Should I tell him about the computer game? Should I pay to repair it?

Yours,

Steve

Dear Steve,

Oh, dear! You have made two mistakes. It is bad enough that you used your dad's computer to play games when he told you not to. And it is even worse that you did not tell him about it. If you tell him the truth now, he will be angry with you, but at least you will show that you are honest.

You should apologise to your father. You should also pay the bill to repair the computer. If you offer to give up your pocket money, your father will realise that you are very sorry.

Remember, next time, play football with David and not computer games!

Best wishes,

Diana

外研版《英语》九年级上册Module 4 Home Alone

Unit 2 语篇:

My “Perfect Holiday”

As a boy, like all other boys, I wanted to be a man. But my parents did everything for me. Actually, they managed every minute of my life. Although they loved me, I felt a bit unhappy with them. “Zheng Chenyu, do your homework!” “Practise the piano!” “Turn off the TV!” I became so bored with their orders that I wished they would leave me alone.

Well, my wish came true! Although my parents were very worried about leaving me, they had to go away on business for a few days. Now was my chance! I could have some fun at last! As soon as I got home from school the first day, I happily threw my schoolbag on the sofa and ate lots of snacks. Then I enjoyed an exciting film on TV, and after that I played computer games. I liked the games so much that I played until midnight.

The next morning I woke up late. I had to hurry to school without breakfast, but l was still late. The teacher asked me for my homework, but I could not hand it in. With an empty stomach, I was unable to play basketball with my classmates! I felt tired and sleepy at school all day long.

When I got home, I tried to cook some rice, but I burnt it. I even dropped my father's cup when I was cooking! I found myself so bad at simple cooking tasks. I started to feel lonely. I wanted Mum and Dad to come home soon. Mum cooked such delicious food, and made sure I never forgot my homework. Dad always helped me with any difficult questions, and told funny jokes when I was unhappy. Then I realised being home alone was not always perfect.

When my parents came home, they were happy to find that I could cook and tidy up now. I told them my home alone story, and we all laughed.
